Distractions and Daydreaming Lead to Unhappiness
Many studies have been done regarding distractions and the effect they have on our happiness. Most of the studies that have been done have shown that when we live our lives “in the fast lane,” as many put it, that we are not able to appreciate the smaller moments, causing us to lose out on opportunities to be happy. Distractions, such as cell phones, are another way that many people are not as happy as they can be. When we constantly look away from something that we should be enjoying, such as a day in the park with our family, to check our cell phones, it takes away from the important moments. This causes unhappiness, because we may feel as though we are wasting precious time.
